CHANDLER JULIET
Award Winning Recording Artist Chandler Juliet grew up running around the halls of LA’s top recording studios.
Chandler was taken under the wing of Producer/Songwriter Dean Dinning (Toad the Wet Sprocket) Mikal Blue (Colbie Callait, Five for Fighting, OneRepublic) at Revolver Recordings in Thousand Oaks, CA, where she developed and honed her songwriting ability and sound, while finishing up college.
She also began writing and developing songs with founding member of OneRepublic, songwriter and producer Tim Myers, and Zync Music.
El haru Kuroi
This concert was made possible with the support of LA County Supervisor Kathryn Barger.
El Haru Kuroi, is an East Los Angeles trio drawing their original musical style from their own experiences with life and music from which they are surrounded. Natives to Los Angeles’ Eastside, their music not only is a representation of their cultural upbringing but also captures their individual style with a reminiscence of Mexican, South American, African, and American Jazz elements. Meeting in music school, they have evolved together and persisted in the creation of an original musical sound, which combines distinct melodic, polyrhythmic and multilingual aspects, resulting as a key ingredient for their sound. El Haru Kuroi has performed throughout the LA area and toured the South West to New Orleans, the East Coast and recently toured to Japan.
GLENDALE HIGH JAZZ BAND
Glendale High School’s award-winning Instrumental Music Program has been under the directorship of Amy Rangel for the past 18 years – and it shows. Recognized as one of the nation’s best music teachers, Ms. Rangel was a Grammy Teacher of the Year Finalist in 2019. Under her leadership, GHS has earned honors as a Grammy Signature School. Awards include a Mr. Holland’s Opus Grant, Los Angeles Philharmonic Youth Orchestra Mentorship Program, Glendale Education Foundation Grant, Arturo Sandoval Institute Grant, Los Angeles Music Center Bravo Award, and the Kennedy Center’s Creative Ticket School of Distinction Award.
The Caesura Youth Orchestra
The Caesura Youth Orchestra (CYO) is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization based on the El Sistema model to provide urban youth with a positive community where they can through music experience a break from the negative impact of drugs, gangs and economic disadvantages.
Trio Insolito
features Michelle Do on piano, Isabella Reyes on violin, and Brian Cannady on percussion. Their sound is an eclectic take on soundtrack music, and features hints of classical, jazz, and pop. Each member is classically trained, and holds postgraduate degrees in their respective instruments. They have done covers from shows such as Steven Universe, Adventure Time, and Rick and Morty, as well as soundtrack covers from video games such as Legend of Zelda, and movies such as Kiki's Delivery Service and other assorted Studio Ghibli works.
About GLENDALE ARTS
Glendale Arts is a private nonprofit 501(c)(3) arts organization, and was formed by the City of Glendale to manage the operations of the Alex Theatre. Since its beginning, Glendale Arts’ mission has evolved into one that works to grow the cultural identity of Glendale through the arts. Glendale Arts currently employs 16 full-time and up to 50 part-time staff members who are employed as stage technicians, house managers, custodians, security guards, box office ticket agents and administrative staff.
The mission of Glendale Arts is to integrate the arts into the identity, growth and economic vitality of the City of Glendale by presenting programming and creating partnerships that benefit youth, patrons, artists, organizations and businesses in the community and at the Alex Theatre.

Volunteering for the event is a great way to get involved, support your community, and support the arts at the same time! Volunteers assist with greeting, checking people in, setting up/tearing down, and generally being amazing event ambassadors. We offer fun perks like a free T-Shirt, a meal wristband, a letter of recommendation, and volunteer/school credits.
GET INVOLVED - CALL FOR MUSICIANS
We are seeking musicians who can animate the event route, connecting participants and restaurants with lively musical entertainment. We are looking for a wide variety of musical styles including jazz, pop, folk, rock, alt, indie, salsa and classical. There are no application fees and an artist stipend will be provided to successful candidates.
